Brücke der Bibertbahn über die Rednitz bei Fürth-Weikershof

Die Bibertbahn wurde in Abschnitten von 1912-14 als eingleisige Nebenbahn im ehemaligen Bundesbahn -Direktionsbezirk Nürnberg eröffnet. Nach Fertigstellung betrug die Länge 32km.

Ausgangspunkt Bahnhof Nürnberg-Stein, Endpunkt Unternbibert-Rügland (geografisch korrekt eigentlich Andorf). Bis zur Verkürzung der Strecke bis Großhabersdorf 1971 Betrieb mit Dampflokomotiven der Baureihe 86 , danach Einstellung des Gesammtpersonverkehrs 1986, Rückbau der Gleise bis Leichendorf. Dort Einstellung der Rübenverladung 1995. Seit einiger Zeit hat sich die "IG Biberttalbahn" gegründet, welche die Reaktivierung der Bibertbahn als moderne Stadtumlandbahn vorschlägt.
